Scott Snyder is responsible for the firm’s business development, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. Utilizing his expertise in strategic direction and planning, he focuses his time on growth initiatives and expanding each brand to all of its key markets.
Scott has over 20 years of industry experience and has spent the majority of his career in leadership roles delivering market-facing solutions. He spent 2008-2010 as Divisional Director for Protective Life Insurance Company heading the Florida region where his division was responsible for record growth. From 1999-2008, Scott served as Regional Director for Lincoln Financial Distributors where he was recognized with several achievement awards and often spoke in national forums on successfully navigating through industry changes. He was responsible for the design, pilot and implementation of multiple distribution channels among national Broker/Dealer accounts and was appointed by the Executive Management Team and his peers to the Board of Director’s Advisory Committee in 2006 - 2008. Scott proudly counts himself among the leadership in the Jax Chamber serving on its Board of Directors and as a Trustee. He is also actively involved with personal and corporate charities, including The Boselli Foundation (Board Member), The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida (Board Member) and Blessings in a Backpack.
Bruce is Managing Principal of the Compass operating unit and directs the Risk Assessment and Actuarial Services functions. He has nearly 35 years of varied property and casualty, workers compensation, and health insurance management experience across multiple funding platforms, including: Professional Employer Organizations, MEWA’s, Associations, Large Single Employers, and Taft-Hartley plans. Bruce brings multiple skill sets on risk management issues - starting with auditing P&C and health insurers for KPMG/Peat Marwick, and continuing with 10+ years heading up health care underwriting, workers compensation and benefits consulting for an accredited PEO.
Bruce is a graduate of Ohio University and has an MBA with distinction from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
T. Eric Foster oversees the Compass team responsible for strategic design and management of competitive benefits offerings for PEOs. As former head of Aetna’s PEO division, Eric has partnered with industry leaders to shape today’s marketplace. Eric has 25 years of in-depth industry experience in senior sales and underwriting leadership roles. He remains actively engaged in the healthcare debate as a member of NAPEO’s healthcare taskforce and contributing writer to PEO Insider.
Eric has a degree in Economics from The College of William & Mary. He is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and licensed life and health agent.
Chip Dempsey is responsible for compliance and account management for multi-employer clients. A veteran of more than 35 years in the insurance and employee benefits consulting industry, he began his career with The Travelers, and prior to joining the firm was with Aon Consulting. He is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
Chip has a degree in Economics from The College of William & Mary. He holds the CLU and ChFC professional designations. In addition, he teaches insurance licensing classes for the University of North Florida (UNF) in Jacksonville, FL.
Jackie O’Banion has over 30 years’ experience in the group benefit industry, ten of which within the PEO industry. Prior to joining the Compass Consulting, Jackie served as the PEO Director of Account Management with Humana. She has also worked extensively in alternate funding with Trustmark Insurance as well as in the Agency/Broker environment.
Jackie is licensed in several states for Health & Life insurance and has earned her HIA (Health Insurance Associate) designation.
